Customers Pictures

Flightline Graphics is committed to providing the very best mask systems for aero modellers not just in the UK but around the world.

It's nice when customers send me pictures of their projects as it allows me to see how well the decals worked.  It also makes a nice addendum to the web site providing other modellers with inspiration for their up-coming projects.  So a big thank you to everyone who has taken the time and effort to send in some pictures of their work!

Note 28th August 2008.  I am currently adding pictures to this page  so more will be on show soon.

Mike Selby - A-10 Thunderbolt.

At the 2008 Top Gun event in Florida Mike Selby displayed his exceptional A-10 Thunderbolt which uses the DecalPRO® dry transfer system for all the small detail right through to the full colour squadron patch. The only marking not produced with DecalPRO are the wrap around nose art teeth and eyes!

Mike got straight 10's on static judging (scale drawings / perspective, craftsmanship and markings).

David East - YT BF109/E-4/B.

A very nice rework of a YT International BF109.  David has modeled this aircraft on on Oberfeldwebel Josef Harmeling aircraft of 4 Grupp/LG2.

The aircraft was shot down over england on 29th August 1940

and was captured before Harmeling could destroy the airframe.

A super model with working bomb release clearly visible in this shot. Even the small mouse nose-art was produced with paint masks!

Derek Holme - Yellow Aircraft Stingray.

Derek has re-decorated his Stingray with paint masks rather than decals provided with the kit.  Overall it's smart use of paint masks giving a strong reproduction that will not lift like vinyl decals, and at the speeds this model flies at, we don't want anything flapping in the wind.

The Jolly Roger is particularly nice I think!

The spec on the model is as follows:

Electric Ducted Fan, 12 cells, Schubeler Fan and NeuMotor, 2.7 KW, 68 Amps= 150 mph and 6 mins Flight, all Graphics recreated in paint mask by Flightline Graphics.

Kevin Edmonson - Vario 60 size jetranger.

Kevin has modified this kit to reflect the door & window shape of the Bell OH-58A.

The crossed sabre emblem at the front of the model was carefully applied using a paint mask.  It demonstrates the fine detail that can be produced and the flexibility of the film conforming to the grooves on the nose.  For a closer look at this detail I have an additional image - Click here.

This was Kevin's first attempt at a "scale" project and I am sure it will not be his last!
